Okay. Here’s the thing.

November 25, 2009

The thing is, I have a Chaucer paper to write. 8-ish pages on the House of Fame’s self-consciousness as a literary production. It is due at 5. And can I focus?

Not even a little bit.

I’m distracted. I’m distracted by the rain, by the thought of Thanksgiving happening without me, by my plans for post-term travels. Hell, I’m distracted by Grey’s Anatomy reruns and I don’t even have a TV.

I am so tired. I’m tired from the paper I wrote yesterday, I’m tired from the past four nights of stomping/loud music/raised voices going on in my house, I’m tired from seven long weeks of term. I just want to sleep. But instead, I have a paper due at 5 and a rehearsal that starts at 9:30 tonight. And then I have the tutorial for the paper at 9am tomorrow, and then I have another rehearsal tomorrow afternoon. And then I’ll have rehearsals all day Saturday and most of Sunday and then another Chaucer paper due Monday morning. And then the services we’re rehearsing for will start on Monday evening, after my tutorial. And then on Tuesday I have Provost’s Collections where they’ll read my report for term (aka, they tell me my grades, in person, in the awkwardest meeting ever). And then I have my last Chaucer paper due on Wednesday, and then another service Wednesday evening, and then my last tutorial at 9am Thursday morning, after which I will pack up my room and prepare to be homeless starting Saturday.

I’m starting to have a minor panic attack, which is inconvenient considering I’m currently in a coffee shop and I HAVE A PAPER DUE AT 5 AND I CAN’T FOCUS. I also have about 12 different people waiting to hear whether or not I’m alive, including my parents. Dear world: I’m alive. I’ll get back to you soon, I promise.

Internets, please send help.

But then you’ll be home (soonish)! We can’t wait/are already planning/are sad that you aren’t going to be here for New Years.

Also, you should post more photos on your blog. That is what the masses want to look at – Alma told me.

Love you more than Thanksgiving (which everyone knows is my fav holiday),
    Jessie

Also, that girl texted me last night. When I was in Home Depot. What up, lesbian mecca.
